About Us:
BristolNightlife.com kicked off in 2006 as a group of lads who simply just loved to party..hitting Bristol's bars and night clubs moreless every weekend! Our team have been living in Bristol all of their lives and as we were constantly getting asked where the best place to go is, we felt the need to explain and recommend the superb nightlife of Bristol.
We know Bristol like the back of our hands, and we still try to go out almost every weekend to see whats going on in the clubbing scene and to monitor any changes to the bars & clubs. We review clubs from the publics point of view, not like other Bristol websites that rate clubs based on what clubs pay.
There are alot of Bristol related sites cropping up, but most of them are owned by a venue in Bristol trying to promote themself's, giving people false information about other bars & night clubs.. BristolNightlife.com offers you a true, non biased review of Bristol's bars & clubs... No false information will be found here.
Members from our team, age between 18 - 25 and therefore know what younger people like & dislike. This is why we can without a doubt provide you with a clear and accurate review of Bristol city centre's bars & night clubs.
We concentrate on the town centre as it is the place to be for a excellent night out. If you have never been to Bristol, you will most likely get attracted to the most obvious bars and nightclubs...
This is where our role comes into place, to pin point you in the right direction for a seriously good night out.
There are a few bars and small clubs missing, however all of the best venues have been reviewed, but we keep adding and wont stop until all of Bristol's venues are covered that are worthy of a good night out! We are the biggest and best site dedicated to the nightlife in bristol.

Hi Jodi, good luck in the half marathon! Umm.. sundays are usually pretty quiet, I would take the safe bet and stay down the waterfront for a few drinks and head to Oceana after. Hi Neil - Friday and Saturday nights are awesome.. I would recommend either Oceana or the Syndicate on the Friday night, and head to Panache on the Saturday night! Get on the guest list for panache free by clicking the Paparazzi flyer above! Have a good weekend :)

Yeh totally agree, best Lap Dancing club is Urban Tiger - you wont be dissapointed!!! av a good one guys :)
(Posted on 2010-08-10 21:10:00 by ) -
@Liam: Hi, most important first⦠Besting lap dancing is 'Urban Tiger' Location on the centre city with a big orange sign on the front or the second choose would be 'lounge @ 30' just off corn street, both are all good, but remember the rules :) All located on the 'Clubbing Map'. Before all of that beer is needed ⦠:) Good starting point is the bar 'Mackenzies' on the waterfront, then head toward corn street. A number of bars next-door to each other: Start The Bus, BSB, Slug & Lettuce, Vodka Revolution, After all that wanted to dance the night away, 80s music head to Rewind, or if the younger one wants RnB/Charts music, Head to Panache (Check out the review page for guest list) Hope you have a awesome time, need to know anything let me know :) Cheers Rikky

Hi we are a group of lads travelling from ireland to bristol for a stags and we just wanted some ideas of where are the best pubs and clubs to visit.
liam
(Posted on 2010-08-10 02:42:00 by ) -
@Andy: Hi, i would recommend starting of at the welsh back. Has lot of pubs in a small space. The Apple (Cider Boat), The Old Duke (Great jazz and blues venue) and Llandoger Trow (One of Bristol oldest pubs) Plus a few more. Once the pubs have closed, you can make a move for some 80's music. Two places to choose fromâ¦.Reflex (Baldwin Street) or Rewind (Corn Street). Hope you have a great night, need any more information, just ask :) Cheers Rikky

Looking for a club / bar for a group of guys down on Sat 4th Sept, we are in our 30's so something suitable for that age group, any ideas ? Many Thanks
(Posted on 2010-08-09 14:17:00 by ) -
@lzzy: Hi Lzzy, Atix has always been the best RnB\HipHop for me but i haven't been there on a thursday night. Just a cross the road you have Agora Bar which play some good house but yet again haven't been there on a Thursday night. Please let us know how you night goes :) Cheers Rikky
@James: Hi James, Oh yes, its all about Oceana on a Thurdays, free entry before 10pm and selected drinks £1.50. I think you mean 'Vibes'. Vibes closed its doors in April 2008, it was busiest gay club in Bristol. Cheers Rikky
(Posted on 2010-08-05 18:59:00 by ) -
So thursday's is all about oceana? whats the vibe?
(Posted on 2010-08-05 16:41:00 by ) -
I'm looking for a club thats good on thursday. One that plays music along the lines of RnB, funky house, hip hop, bashment.
(Posted on 2010-08-04 16:41:00 by ) -
Hi Mike, Oceana are pretty fussy to be honest - we always recommend wearing a shirt/t-shirt, jeans/trousers with shoes! Don't wear trainers! :)
(Posted on 2010-08-03 20:15:00 by ) -
is there a dress code for Oceana on Thursdays?
(Posted on 2010-08-03 20:09:00 by ) -
Bristolnightlife.com is the best. This is where your night starts baby.
Bristolnightlife all the way.......
(Posted on 2010-08-03 17:55:00 by ) -
@Cedric: Hi, during the week i would go a up park street for a few drinks, Its nice and relaxed up there on a week day. On thursday night make a visit down to Oceana, free entry before 10pm then £3 till midnight and £1.50 on selected drinks. I would recommend not going to Oceana until 11:00/11:30, it can be a bit dead and the main room doesn't open until 10:30/11:00. If you need any more information just ask :-) Cheers, Rikky
(Posted on 2010-08-01 11:28:00 by ) -
In Bristol from Mon-Thurs, which will be the best night to hit the clubs?
(Posted on 2010-08-01 09:15:00 by ) -
Hi Midu, Oceana is open on a Thursday evening and has £1.50 on selected drinks!! Admission is FREE before 10pm, £3 till midnight and £4 after. For some warm up drinks, I would either recommend BSB or Lloyds bar on the waterfront. Hope this helps! Cheers, Ed.
(Posted on 2010-07-29 15:47:00 by ) -
Where is today the best party for students?? thursday night?
(Posted on 2010-07-29 15:07:00 by ) -
Hi Midu, Tonight you can go clubbing at Propaganda which is the UK's biggest indie night and is hosted in the Syndicate Superclub - check out http://www.thepropaganda.com for more information. Hope this helps. Ed

Where can we go clubbin tonight in bristol??
(Posted on 2010-07-28 16:17:00 by ) -
Hi Katie.. The best venue to go for a wicked party at the moment is Panache.. hit it up on a Saturday night and you will have an awesome time! Go to http://www.panachebars.com/guestlist.html to get yourself on the guestlist!!
(Posted on 2010-07-27 14:05:00 by ) -
Hi, was wondering were is best to go in Bristol, 8 girlies out for the night saturday..
(Posted on 2010-07-27 09:59:00 by ) -
No probs.. yeh dark jeans and a shirt will be fine for all places. The most awkward place about shoes are Oceana and Panache, so just make sure they look like shoes.. no steel caps allowed :)
(Posted on 2010-07-21 11:41:00 by ) -
Thanks I have a pair of brown trainers(love them)have white sole but look like shoes so will they be alrite with dark jeans and shirt to get into most places??
(Posted on 2010-07-21 10:04:00 by ) -
Hi Speed.. dress code is usually smart/casual.. t-shirt, jeans and shoes will be fine. Some places will let you in with trainers but if your planning hitting the clubs then put shoes on to be safe. Av a good time!
(Posted on 2010-07-21 09:41:00 by ) -
over from Ireland this weekend whats the dress code like?Ie shoes, shirts etc for most of the pubs/clubs?
Thanks in advance
(Posted on 2010-07-21 09:27:00 by ) -
Hi Hannah, Oceana is open on a Thursday evening and has £1.50 on selected drinks!! Admission is FREE before 10pm, £3 till midnight and £4 after. For some warm up drinks, I would either recommend BSB or Lloyds bar on the waterfront. Hope this helps! Cheers, Ed.
(Posted on 2010-07-19 21:57:00 by ) -
Hii! it's my birthday on thurs 29th, and I'm from Cardiff and the nightlife is slowly going downhill, a load of us are coming to Bristol to experience the nightlife for the first time, but we'll be going out on the thursday, where do you reccomend going as I can imagine it's not a huge night. Also anywhere we could stop for some cheap pre-drinks before hitting somewhere bigger. Rnb music preferred but anything really. Would really appreciate some help. Thank youuuu :)
(Posted on 2010-07-19 08:50:00 by ) -
Hi Teri, sorry we missed your post!! I would stick to the waterfront on a Sunday.. the bars will be open and Oceana will be open, some of the other clubs will be shut though.

Hi, Unfortunately we're only stopping in Bristol for one night in a couple of weeks and it happens to be a Sunday night! Are there any bars / clubs you could recommend for a Sunday or are they all closed?! Thanks!
(Posted on 2010-07-08 22:34:00 by ) -
@Dee: I would recommend either Rewind which is mostly classic cheese from the 60's through to current day - which is located above walkabout bar. Otherwise Oceana would be suitable - the disco room on the top floor plays a mix and match, and the ice room on the middle floor plays current music. Hope this helps. Thanks, Ed.
(Posted on 2010-07-07 17:45:00 by ) -
Trying to organize a hen weekend in bristol, we are all 40 years + would like to go to a club with 60's 70's 80's & 90's music, what would you recommend.
Many thanks
(Posted on 2010-07-06 18:25:00 by ) -
@Tom: Most of the bars along the waterfront would accept a stag party without an issue. Then if your looking to go onto a club, both Oceana and Syndicate do not have a problem with accepting fancy dress or stag parties. Hope this helps! Cheers, Ed.
(Posted on 2010-07-05 14:44:00 by ) -
Alright guys, Where are the best Stag friendly places to go on a Saturday night, considering we are all dressing up Top gun theme in flight suits and aviator sunnies?
Cheers, Tom

@James: Hi james, what kinda of music you into ? Got Ramshackle at the o2 Academy for Indie night (Its not all indie) More info: http://www.ramshackle.co.uk/event.php?eid=27568. Or on every friday nights its 'I Love the 90's' at syndicate.

Heading to Bristol on Friday for the weekend, never been before. Anyone recommend any good events or clubs on Friday and Saturday? Thanks.
(Posted on 2010-07-02 19:55:00 by ) -
@Carl: Welcome to brsitol :) i would recommend heading over to 'Basement 45' Its got a really good underground feel and play some good dubstep, For the best night go there on satruday. Cheers
(Posted on 2010-06-30 21:26:00 by ) -
Where's the best spot to hear some dubstep like Headhunter, 2562, TRG, Martyn etc. I heading over from the colonies for a holiday.
(Posted on 2010-06-30 04:54:00 by ) -
@Jetru: I would suggest trying one of the bars along the water front this evening. Either BSB or Lloyds.
(Posted on 2010-06-29 20:30:00 by ) -
where is it kicking here in bristol on a tuesday 29 june

07769337898
(Posted on 2010-06-24 11:01:00 by ) -
@Peter Smith: Hi Peter, I am not sure whether or not Syndicate would be able to disable strobe lighting completely as a number of their lighting effects have strobe facilities. Your best bet would be to contact Syndicate directly as you have suggested. Their phone number is 01179 450325. I believe that the phone lines are open late afternoon to early evening. Hope this helps, Ed.
(Posted on 2010-06-22 21:07:00 by ) -
Can you tell if is possable to have the strobe lighting turned off in the Syndicate club, what time do their phone lines open so i can find out?
Cheers
(Posted on 2010-06-22 10:06:00 by ) -
@Deano: If you are looking for a variety of options then I would recommend oceana. There are a few bar areas where people can sit, as well as two rooms for clubbing. The Ice room which is current music and the disco room which is all of the old classics. If you are looking for the older kind of music (i.e. 70's and 80's) then I would recommend Rewind (above Walkabout) or Reflex.
@Nikita: Sorry for the late reply, I can confirm however that this coming Friday 25th there is a Crossroads Records Take Over Tour and this coming Saturday 26th they have guest DJ, Ashley Casselle - You can find more information about upcoming events at http://www.basement45.co.uk/ Hope this helps, Ed.
(Posted on 2010-06-21 22:01:00 by ) -
can someone tell me if basement 45 got anything good going on tonight?
(Posted on 2010-06-18 14:41:00 by ) -

(Posted on 2010-06-16 19:31:00 by ) -
Sorry for the late reply people, been busy, pushing forward with the site, more good things to come :)
@Louise: Hey, i know for sure Oceana has wheelchair access. What other clubs are you thinking of visiting ? i can check for you, cheers Rikky
@Jay: Hi, we have no events for under 18 at the moment, but when we hear of any we will keep you up to date, cheers Rikky
@Joe: Hi, A great bar i would recommend for the old age group would be O'neils on Baldwin street, Then maybe pop next door to Reflex for some 80's music, Cheers Rikky
@Rob/Jane: Hi, i would both recommend Oceana, 3 different bars with different music, check our review for more details, Cheers Rikky

(Posted on 2010-06-09 07:58:00 by ) -
Yeh sarah, if you are after a party pack, then Oceana or Panache would be a good place to go. see the following links:
http://www.oceanaclubs.com/bristol/clubpacks
and for panache, you will need to contact them directly.. mention BristolNightlife.com to Kerry, she should be able to give you a good deal!
(Posted on 2010-06-04 16:05:00 by ) -
Hi Sarah,
I personally would recommend the Ice Room in Oceana for your evening. With a mixture of genres as well as current chart music, your sure to have a great night. Admissions about £8 after 11pm and around £5 before. Hope this helps.
(Posted on 2010-06-04 14:30:00 by ) -
Oh and we're going on a saturday
(Posted on 2010-06-02 19:17:00 by ) -
Me and my friends are heading to bristol for my birthday, we're all 18 and we were looking for somewhere with chart music where i could get a 'party pack' or something. Not into dance music all night. Thanks
(Posted on 2010-06-02 19:16:00 by ) -
Thanks Rikky I have booked a VIP booth at Panache for Sat complete with Jugs of cocktails! Bring on the hen doo!
(Posted on 2010-06-02 11:47:00 by ) -
Hi Kay, No Oceana isn't shutting down.. it's one of Bristol's strongest venues.
(Posted on 2010-06-01 14:01:00 by ) -
just wondering if oceana is still open as i heard it was shutting down!
(Posted on 2010-06-01 12:27:00 by ) -
@Shannon: Oceana tickets are usually around £10, but are cheaper if you go in before 11pm and cheaper if bought in advance. If you plan to go in before 11pm, there are some money off and great deal vouchers available from our site.
(Posted on 2010-05-31 22:21:00 by ) -
hello i was wondering the price of tickets for oceana as i havent been before and a bit about it.

Hi Kate. i would definitely recommend ending your night in Panache. They have VIPs boxes which is idea for a hen doo and i think you get a free bottle champagne, If you mention us it may help :) My only advise is ask for a box near the DJ box. i have attached a contact details to this message. Cheers, Rikky

@Kerry: Happy birthday for Saturday :) Oceana is a great venue but has lots of different types of music. I would recommend having a few drinks up Corn street then heading off to Panache, they play most RnB with some commercial chucked in. if you still have some life left in you, head off to Antix up park street plays mostly RnB and sty open until 6am.
@Mike: Welcome to bristol, Thursday night are mainly students nights but would recommend heading down to the waterfront, popping into BSD and Lloyds.
@Celso: The place i normal go would be Timbuk2 or basement 45. Check the website for the events: basement45.co.uk
@Laidboy: Sounds like you got a good plan already. Shouldn't have no problem with syndicate, always see people dressed up. As long your well behaved you should be fine :) If you want cheese, i would recommend stopping off at Rewind and dance music stop off in BSB. Both venues are located on corn street, just 10 minute walk from syndicate
@Lucy: Sorry didn't get back to you in time, hope you had a great night. Yes syndicate isn't doing very well lately.

Hi, I'm going out on Friday 14th May for my 21st, where is good to go on a friday? I went to Syndicate last Friday and it was really quiet. Also it can't be a student night as people who aren't students aren't coming. Thanks for your help!

Hi, I am organising my brother's stag in Bristol the weekend of 4-6th June. I was thinking of Clifton then waterfront/Oceana on Friday night, then city centre/Syndicate on Sat? Is Syndicate OK with fancy dress etc or is it more dance music? Keen for a bit of chart n cheese on the sat night if you have a better option!

Hi Marshall, the O2 Academy have an Australian band called Powderfinger playing, not sure if there any good or not though! The other bars and clubs are open as normal but there isnt any headliners, apart from Audiobullys at the Thekla on the 26 April.
