Hi James, We do not believe that Baja night club will be opening again.. we will do some digging around to see what we can find, however Evolution was the old name before it became Baja, so thats old rumours by the sounds of it! We miss it, it was better when it was Evolution!!

About Us:
As the team have been living in Bristol all of our lifes and are constantly asked where the best place to go is, we felt the need to explain & recommend the superb nightlife of Bristol.
We know Bristol like the back of our hands, we go out every weekend to see whats going on in the clubbing scene & to monitor any changes to the bars & clubs. We review clubs from the publics point of view, not like other Bristol websites that rate clubs based on what clubs pay. Bristol Nightlife.com offers you a true, non biased review of bars & clubs... No false information will be found here.
Members from our team, age between 18 - 25 and therefore know what younger people like & dislike. This is why we can without a doubt provide you with a clear and accurate review of Bristol city centre's bars & night clubs.
We concentrate on the town centre as it is the place to be for a excellent night out. If you have never been to Bristol, you will most likely get attracted to the most obvious bars and nightclubs...
This is where our role comes into place, to pin point you in the right direction for a seriously good night out.
There are a number of bars and small clubs missing, however as time goes by the site will expand and will eventually include every bar/club in Bristol... We are the biggest and best site dedicated to the nightlife in bristol.

how about the hiphop dancers which are ment to be dancing with them?
(Posted on 2009-05-06 21:30:00 by ) -
how about the hiphop dancers which are ment to be dancing with them, will they still be at panache?
(Posted on 2009-05-04 21:22:00 by ) -
No JLS will not be in Bristol on the 8th May.
(Posted on 2009-05-04 21:03:00 by ) -
so basically JLS arent coming to bristol 8th may?
(Posted on 2009-05-04 16:06:00 by ) -
JLS's management were messing Panache around with dates.. JLS are basically too busy and their record company 'Epic' were getting in the way of them doing an event around this date. There are no further gigs planned, but if/when there is, we shall post an update.
(Posted on 2009-05-04 13:30:00 by ) -
why have jls canceled again? are they going to be anywhere else in bristol that night?
(Posted on 2009-05-04 11:31:00 by ) -
Hello People.. Thursday nights is average really, we only ever recommend going out on a Friday or Saturday as it's the busiest nights and there is always something going on! The only club that requires you too be 21 is oceana, but this is only on a Saturday night! Any other nights are 18.
(Posted on 2009-04-28 21:58:00 by ) -
JLS HAVE NOW CANCELLED COMPLETELY - CONTACT PANACHE FOR REFUNDS
(Posted on 2009-04-28 12:20:00 by ) -
Hey,are there any certain clubs or days of the week where you have to be 21? thanks
(Posted on 2009-04-27 21:07:00 by ) -
i was just wondering is bristal busy on a thursday?
xx
(Posted on 2009-04-25 10:54:00 by ) -
i so wish jls was playing down here :(
(Posted on 2009-04-21 10:05:00 by ) -
Panache have now replied about the JLS Under 18's gig - please do not mistake this for the over 18's event.....
Panache Response
This event is very likely to not be taking place anymore, JLS management keep messing around with dates and still not confirming one single date. So for the moment we are saying this is not going ahead unless things changes, but it will not happen in the near future
(Posted on 2009-04-14 14:47:00 by ) -
Hi Mad, Sunday nights are pretty poor to be honest.. unless you are visiting on a bank holiday weekend.. Oceana is open on sundays but it's not really that busy.. i think trip down the waterfront would be your best bet but like i said it will be pretty quiet unless it is a bank holiday! Hi Adrin.. well it's abit late to answer your question now, as you have already visited and gone i guess! We would have said Wild Cats (Minxs) for you know what, or Platinum! Where did you end up? And Sophie, no we still haven't heard a thing from Panache... Panache are not in our good books right now.. they are very poor at promotions, they really need to sort it out. If we hear anything back we shall get back to you, but things aren't looking great so i would suggest trying to contact them yourself also.
(Posted on 2009-04-13 20:02:00 by ) -
Hi, have you heard from them?
(Posted on 2009-04-11 09:45:00 by ) -

(Posted on 2009-04-06 08:50:00 by ) -
We have being trying to contact Panache for you as we believe they are doing a JLS under 18's event before hand, however we haven't been very successful in getting an response.. Panache can be quite unorgansied at times.. I would suggest trying to contact Panache directly on 0845 241 7185 - they may answer the phone weekdays...
(Posted on 2009-04-06 08:06:00 by ) -
Hi, are you doing a under 18s v.i.p? Because me & my friends really want to meet JLS but every where only seems to do v.i.p for over 18s. ?
(Posted on 2009-04-04 10:54:00 by ) -
Hi Sophie, VIP tickets are sold out for JLS, however there are a few normal tickets left.. You can purchase these from Bristol Ticket Shop. www.bristolticketshop.co.uk

Hi Claire, theres a few places that love their indie... the Thekla, the Cooler, Anson Rooms, Mr Wolfs, Stop the Bus and some at the Lizard Lounge!! Take your pick from those lot, take a glance at the clubbing map for locations.. Bristol isn't exactly the cheapest city in the UK mind, some people say its pretty expensive.. but if you want a good night out then you got to pay the price i guess!

The only place in Bristol to be... starting the first Saturday each month!!!!
Juiced Launch Party@ Flamingos featuring: The Freemasons, Funkndisorderly, Lukas Hopwood.
The biggest and most outrageous party to hit the Bristol scene, fuelled by a healthy portion of turbo charged funky house for serious party freaks and clubbing chic.
This is one night not to be missed... Starting the first Saturday each month Juiced promises to bring you the best clubbing experience in the South West. Flamingos - Bristol's biggest polysexual club is to showcase some of the finest Dj talent on the planet playing alongside residents Funkndisorderly (Federation, Organic) and Lukas Hopwood (Push, Burn, Big Gay Houseparty).
Starting in April with none other than The Freemasons who make a spectacular return at April's launch party.
See you on the dance floor!

hey, me and a friend are going to Bristol on wednesday 8th April, we are poor poor students who are into the indie scene, well anything thats not trashy n r'n'b, so we dont mind house music or indie. anywhere u could suggest please :) Thank you xxx
(Posted on 2009-03-24 18:49:00 by ) -
Hi Chris, sorry for the delay... Oceana is generally quite busy on a monday.. as you have pointed out, we have spoke about Monday nights several times.. we concentrate on the weekends as this is when its happening.. friday & saturday nights. We have found that it is mostly uni students out and about on Mondays, so they tend to head to park street where you will find Lizard Lounge, Aurora Bar & the Cooler night club.. we would suggest heading over this way.
(Posted on 2009-03-21 23:55:00 by ) -
Hey.....
I travel down to Bristol every Sunday and Leave on Tuesday, Im on my own and am bored of staying in hotel rooms...I see in a earlier email that on Mondays there is not much to do, you mentioned Oceana...does this get busy!!! Noone likes clubbing in an empty venue....Im into all kinds of House, but if it has a beat Im willing to go try it out different styles...Mondays I would prefer to know about Please....But Sundays is an option too!!!..... Being a Big Uni town, I have high hopes...I need to get these crazy feet dancing!!!!!
Thanks
Christopher

(Posted on 2009-03-10 11:41:00 by ) -
Yes we believe so, JLS have pulled out last minute, however I believe panache are trying to re-schedule - We shall update once we have a further information.

Hey, is it true JLS has been cancelled because haven't heard anything at all about this?!?!? xx
(Posted on 2009-03-08 19:07:00 by ) -
Hi Cat, on friday the 13th, syndicate is having a comic relief night, dress in red & The Syndicate will donate to Comic Relief.. so if you fancy helping out for charity this is an option (there is a R&B room upstairs) - otherwise id prob suggest Panache or Funky Greek.. Chicago Rock is a good bar for R&B also. But if you want 80's!! then Reflex rules in everyway possible.. check the clubbing map for locations :)
(Posted on 2009-03-07 01:14:00 by ) -
Hi Kate, Monday nights! We've had this debate a few times.. there isn't that much going on, on a monday night, apparently the best place is Oceana, however we've been there on a monday and we didnt think it was perticulary good.. Thekla & Mr Wolfs is a good choice if you like indie, but I really don't know how great it will be on a monday :( sorry
(Posted on 2009-03-07 01:04:00 by ) -
Hii im planning to go into bristol for my 18th on Friday 13th March and was wondering where the best places to go are..? Any events going on? I'm into most recent RnB and also the good ole 80s tunes! Thanks x

Hi, can anyone tell me where is good to go on a monday night in bristol - I'm having a leaving thing on Monday 23rd before I go travelling... I'm into indie rock. Any ideas? Thanksx
(Posted on 2009-03-04 13:41:00 by ) -
Hi Jenny, for dance music, it has to be the Syndicate Superclub! Temple meads train station is 10 mins walk from the centre, so your not that far out... there isn't any clubs next to the train station, there is only a bar called the Reckless Engineer :)
(Posted on 2009-02-19 01:17:00 by ) -
hi my friend and I are headin to bristol on sunday 22 feb. we are both 23 and into dance music (not techno) and were wondering where would be the best place to head out, also were staying near temple meads if theres a good club near there.
thanks
(Posted on 2009-02-17 16:00:00 by ) -
Hi Rianna & Rachel... As Lucy has pointed out, the best club to visit for 80's music is Reflex! For Indie & Rock, we would suggest the Thekla.. The Thekla is a club on a boat (obviously docked!) and it's a wicked night out.. We haven't got a review for these 2 clubs yet (there coming soon) but check out the clubbing map for the locations! Also not forgetting the O2 Academy.. on the 20th Feb, they have a band called Reel Big Fish (www.reel-big-fish.com) which is kind of Indie.. take a look at their site and have a listen at some of there music! Hope you have a great time!! (Don't forget to come back and tell us how it went!)
(Posted on 2009-02-12 19:56:00 by ) -

Hi Sarah, The main events around Valentines day.. Guru Josh Project (Infinity 2008), Ironik & DJ EZ are at Oceana on the 11th... The Syndicate have Coolio from Big Brother performing Gangsta's Paradise on the 14th, and Panache are having a traffic light party on the 14th to show others if your single or taken etc... Hope this helps!
(Posted on 2009-02-09 23:16:00 by ) -
What Events Are On For Valentines Day?? X
(Posted on 2009-02-09 14:32:00 by ) -
Hi Paddy! Welcome to Bristol lads.. ok Saturday night (31st jan), how about an Ibiza foam party? The Syndicate will be packing the dancefloor with foam! This is the biggest and best event this weekend, and it's sure to be a good laugh! It's £5 entry! If your not in the mood for foam, then your going to be in just for a normal night really.. Oceana or Panache would be recommended!
(Posted on 2009-01-27 21:08:00 by ) -
Myself and group of mates are heading to bristol from saturday to monday. Where would be the best places to head, any events on?thanks..

The exceeds expectations comments, refer to 'not just another bar on the waterfront' - when we reviewed Mackenzies, we thought it was better than some of the other bars on the waterfront. We have amended the name, thanks for the feedback.
(Posted on 2009-01-26 15:13:00 by ) -
Hi there
Thank you for the review-which was pleasing, although did not quite understand the 'exceeds expectations' angle ?, but the main thing was could you please spell our name correctly-which is 'MACKENZIES' .
many thanks

Hi Kev, most bars & clubs in Bristol do not like trainers... However T-Shirts are fine... so a shirt or T-shirt with jeans would be fine.. just put some shoes on!
(Posted on 2009-01-24 17:31:00 by ) -
just wonderin wat de dress code is lik in bristol, can u wear trainers and jeans? do You have 2 wear a shirt? thanks!
(Posted on 2009-01-24 11:52:00 by ) -
Hi Lewis, Fridays are normally quite busy, however remember its the end of January, and most people are skint from christmas... There are no big events happening on friday either, so I would recommend going to Oceana or Panache on the Friday, and if you are about on Saturday, go to the Syndicate as it is Clubland night...
(Posted on 2009-01-22 11:09:00 by ) -
Hey i'm planning on visiting Bristol this Friday (23rd Jan) where would be the best place to start and finish and how busy is Bristol on a Friday? Syndicate looks good!

bristolnightlife.com is the best bristol nightlife website.. i heard of them through syndicate, i think they are well known across bristol. i like the fact they always list all the best events on the main page, so you can see whats happening. theres loads of websites out there, which try conning people into buying packages for q-jump and stuff.. but you can get vouchers for free on here! its under the vip menu. Bristol is a great place.. thanks for the advice on where to go

The list above is 'Our top 5 venues', which is non related to the venue of the year which has just finished. I understand what you are saying, and maybe this is a little confusing.. We have now changed this to the polled results for you, too minimise any further confusion. Thank you for the feedback. (and no, we don't get free drinks!)

what a joke, your venue of the year award, Greenhouse comes second and yet you still name BSB bars and now Thekla in your top 5, do you get a free drink when you visit?

For drum & bass/bassline - Head over to the 'Warehouse' - see the clubbing map for the location

Nothing has been confirmed for the 3rd of Jan, it will be just a normal saturday, which will still be good. You'll find R&B almost anywhere.. panache, syndicate, oceana etc. The Warehouse may have some garage, again nothing has been confirmed so im not to sure what to suggest :)

Hi Aaron, I would suggest getting your tickets for New Years Eve in advance, as it will no doubtly be a sell out. If you want to go to The Syndicate for Gatecrasher you can get E-Tickets online direct from syndicate at this address:
https://appserver.trinitymobile.co.uk/webticket/thesyndicate
If you want to go to Oceana, then you can book your ticket directly with Oceana through Tick.It at:
http://www.tick.it/ticket_details.aspx?TicketID=19544
There are a lot of hotels in Bristol, but our favorite is the Hotel Ibis, as it is right in the action, its quite cheap, and its very nice.. click the hotels tab in the menu for more info.

Hey George, glad you had a great time in Bristol, and congrats on tying the knot! We think BSB is great, and simply is one of the finest bars.. were glad you found our review helpful. All the best

Hey Jules, sorry for the delay.. I would prob say Oceana is the best club to visit on a sunday night, or check out the Carling Academy as they may have an event on. The Elbow Rooms may be another suggestion, however it is full of students.. if thats a good think or bad thing to you ;)

Danny here, Bristol is banging on Saturdays, Oceana hosts 7 dance themed areas, Chicago Rock with the golden oldies, Walkabout bar and Bristols Finest......... Syndicate Superclub. A great night on Saturday with Eddie Halliwell mixing it up, if you take a look at our Bars and Club Reviews you'll find something you enjoy. We also have a map of the clubs so if your planning on a bar crawl then check it out!!!!!

Hi Emma, Syndicate is good on a Friday, but it tends to be not as busy, unless you go on an big event night, like hardcore evolution.. Saturday nights are the night to go out.
(Posted on 2008-11-25 17:55:00 by ) -
Hi Crystal, Bristol is a really good place to come clubbing, however Saturday night are the main night. Certain clubs such as Oceana, Java & Lloyds are very fussy letting in alot of lads.. so you would need to split up.. but even this sometimes fails.. you may want to bring a few more ladies :)

Hi.
I was just wondering what Syndicate is like on a Friday night as Saturday seems to be the main night?
(Posted on 2008-11-24 20:09:00 by ) -

Thanks for the comments Cat. A couple of people have advised that monday at Oceana's are now pretty good to anyone that is interested.
(Posted on 2008-11-13 21:49:00 by ) -
I would say the best night to go to Oceana is on a Friday.. The best night to go to the Syndicate is on a Saturday.

Hi, me and my girlfriends are thinking about a night in bristol on Saturday 1st August for my 23rd Birthday. We wanna go to as many pubs as poss, walk about but then finishing off down in oceana. Where is the best place for us to stay that is cheap also? The Ibis looks like its in a good location but 70 quid a night for a twin room, is this the sort of price we will have to pay in any of the hotels?
